These Walls, These Roads

This personal essay in the anthology 'Messy Cities: Why We Can't Plan Everything' is my reflection on Palestinian life under Israeli Occupation — of crossing walls and checkpoints to be with family, of journeys that should be simple but are intentionally made long and cruel, and of holding onto hope and resistance in a land where every road and barrier tells the story of loss, resilience, and the fight to remain.
